The different materials allow for a variety of chemical applications and, in many cases, are an ideal fit for extreme temperatures. The Georg Fischer Type 546 ball valve features easy installation, which is achieved with options such as threaded, flanged, or socket end connectors. Modularity allows for changes in the field such as retrofitting and actuator to a manual valve. The Georg Fischer Type 546 ball valve was designed to meet the high demand world of industrial valves.
The ball of the Georg Fischer Type 546 ball valve has a smooth and glassy surface, which guarantees excellent leak tightness in the passage and preventing the formation of deposits while also maintaining a low actuation torque. The ball seal features a positive fit. The special backing seal makes sure the passage is sealed tight – even if there is pulsation or water hammer. The Georg Fischer Type 546 ball valve has a backing O-ring, which being a dynamic seal presses the ball seal on the ball, always remains in position. The union brush with left-hand thread, which causes the floating ball to remain tight, is another sophisticated feature.
