Thermoplastic Piping – PVDF
Key Properties
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), commonly referred to as Kynar®, is a high molecular weight fluorocarbon that has superior abrasion resistance, dielectric properties and mechanical strength. These characteristics are maintained over a temperature range of -40º F to 250º F, with a limited usage range extended to 302º F. Kynar® is highly resistant to wet or dry chlorine, bromine and other halogens, most strong acids, aliphatics, aromatics, alcohols and chlorinated solvents. Kynar® is available from 1/2″ to 6″ in natural or red color. Typical applications include high purity water, chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing and U.V. sensitive chemicals.

General / Chemical Grade PVDF Pipe and Fittings
Super Proline general / chemical grade polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a high molecular weight fluorocarbon with superior abrasion resistance, dielectric properties and mechanical strength. It is available from 1/2″ to 16″. Unlike Kynar® which is Schedule 80, general / chemical grade PVDF is measured in SDR 21 (1/2″ – 10″) and SDR 33 (3″ – 12″).
Natural Kynar® PVDF Schedule 80 Pipe and Fittings
Absolutely pure, unpigmented Natural Kynar® transports material without contamination. Natural Kynar® is ideal for use in electronics, pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries when transporting deionized water and other substances with leaching characteristics. Natural Kynars® excellent chemical and corrosion-resistant piping material eliminates rust and scaling from vinegar to corrosive slurries.
Red Kynar® PVDF Schedule 80 Pipe and Fittings
Red Kynar® is a strong, tough and abrasion-resistant fluorocarbon material. It resists distortion and retains most of its strength to 250° F. Red Kynar® is chemically resistant to most acids, bases and organic solvents and is ideally suited for handling wet or dry chlorine, bromine and other halogens. No other solid thermoplastic piping components can approach the combination of strength, chemical resistance and working temperatures of Red Kynar®.
